DTH antennas and Ku-band LNB are universal, they can work with any DTH box but for your concern, you need to replace the set-top box as airtel have its boxes encrypted with special software which Does not allow you to use your STB as dd free dish box. One more thing, for example, you are currently using Airtel DTH and you buy a DD Free STB. Now, you have to change the dish alignment every time you switch from DD to Airtel. So it is better to buy a complete set including Dish Antenna, LNB, and Cable, or use DD Free Dish separately. For this, you will not lose signals every time. If not getting Airtel TV signals check the airtel free dish frequency setting

Watch airtel digital tv and dd free dish together –
The usual modern way is to use HDMI-1 for Airtel Digital TV set-top box and HDMI-2 for DD Free Dish in the latest LED TVs. You can change the source of the HDMI signal with your TV remote. For older television sets with single HDMI inputs, use the HDMI A to B switch; Or without HDMI Jack, you can use an RCA jack switcher. Please Note – 1. Commercial DTH Boxes (Tata Play, dish d2h, Dish Network, Sun Direct, Reliance DTH, and Airtel DTH, etc) cannot be used to get signals from DD Freedish as they are locked by the broadcaster or DTH operator. This is the reason why you need to buy FTA (Free-To-Air) set-top box and antenna system separately. 2. You can not use the DTH accessories for another purpose, because most DTH service providers give them on a rental or agreement basis. 3. Dish antenna and other accessories provided by the DTH operator are property of their own. It is rented. It should be not used with other uses. It is your responsibility to keep them safe.
