Note: Don’t do anything if the weather is bad and not getting satellite signals then wait for clear weather.
Tata Play first-time installation settings –
To fix the first-time installation settings in Tata Play DTH, then you can follow these general steps:- Ensure that the set-top box is properly connected to the TV and the dish antenna.
- Check that all the cables are securely connected and not damaged.
- Try a different HDMI or AV cable.
- Check that your set-top box is not in Demo or Hotel mode.
- Verify that the dish antenna is properly aligned and has a clear line of sight to the satellite.
- Now Turn on your TV and Tata Sky set-top box.
- Press the “Home” or “Menu” button on your Tata Sky remote.
- Navigate to the “Settings” or “Installation” option using the arrow keys on the remote.
- Select “First Time Installation” or “Initial Setup” from the menu.
- Select the master reset option from the main menu and restart your set-top box. Without changing any LNB parameters select the option Satellite GSAT-12. now restart the box using the master reset or factory reset option.
- or Select English language first then press 6 the select button continuously.
- If you have a connection in the multi-story building then you can choose Super LNB, otherwise, you can go ahead with Universal LNB.
- If you have still the same issue then
- Check for incorrectly connected F-type connectors on the LNB and at the back of the decoder.
- Align your LNB correctly at a skew angle about the polarity of the signal, your local position, and the selected satellite.
- Align your satellite dish properly by adjusting the horizontal and elevation angles.
- Replace a faulty LNB
- If your satellite dish is mounted where there are obstructions of the signal such as trees and buildings, then move it to a better place. You can check more details here.
