Dish TV India History in short –

Dish TV launched when Television broadcasting in India, was dominated by Cable Operators.

In 2003, a Dish TV subscriber was getting about 50 channels. The ESPN and Star Sports also added to the list in February 2004. Dish TV subscription pack price was started with Rs.100 monthly.

The other channels were available from the Zee Turner bouquet. Zee Telefilms has a vast film library which also launched several movie channels on the Dish TV DTH platform, including Zee Classic (old Hindi films), FX Movies, Premier Movies, and Smile TV.

In 2004, Dish TV announced for adding other TV channels including PREMIER CINEMA, ACTION CINEMA, CLASSIC CINEMA.

Dish TV upgraded Zenega CD 1005 S software version 1.05 to 1.2 to add a few TP List from DD Direct Plus. Dish TV added 20 more TV channels, now it reached 99 TV channels.
