How to Install Free DTH? –

To install the free TV channels following procedure is to be followed which is only suggestive. Viewers are advised to consult the nearest STB or DTH antenna, Dealer.

if you already installed a DTH antenna then just plug in the new receiver and search by the below steps. But make sure your dish antenna is pointed to the GSAT-15 satellite at 93.5 degrees for DD Direct Plus. You can check your neighbor’s roof for any Dish TV antenna. Just install it in the same position.

Let’s Scan the free TV channels –

1. Satellite Name:

Go to the Installation menu or set up the Programs from the remote.

1. Select the Satellite Edit menu.
2. Select Add New Satellite menu.
3. Select Sat Name Edit menu.
4. Enter Satellite Name as GSAT-15.
5. Enter Satellite Longitude as 93.5o E

Press Exit

2. LNB Configuration

Go to the LNB Configuration menu. Ensure that the satellite selected is GSAT-15 only.

1.  Set LNB Types as Universal.
2. Set LNB Power on.

Press Exit

3. Transponder Edit:

Go to the Transponder Edit menu. Ensure that the satellite selected is GSAT-15.

1.  Select Add New TP menu.
2. Enter TP Frequency as 11090 MHz.
3. Select the Symbol rate as 29500ksps.
4. Select Polarization as Vertical.
5. Select Scan as FTA

Press OK.

4. Search Now

1. Select 22K – OFF
2. Select Disc Switch – OFF
3. Select FTA Only – Yes

After filling in the above values Go to ‘search’

Press ‘OK’

Wait for 3-5 minutes. The new TV and Radio services will be displayed. Similarly add all other four TPs by entering the frequency, symbol rate, and polarization as given in the Frequency Table here.
