MXQ PRO Upgrade Requirements –
- MXQ 4K Android Box
- Computer with Windows (7/8/10/11)
- USB cable (male-to-male)
- Amlogic USB Burning Tool (Download link in description)
- Latest firmware for MXQ 4K (Download link in description)
Backup MXQ 4K Box Data –
- Back up your important data on your Android box, as flashing will erase all existing data.
- Ensure the Android box is fully charged.
- Disable any antivirus software on your computer.
MXQ PRO Box Flashing Steps –
Method 1 – Using Amlogic USB Burning Tool –
- Download and install the Amlogic USB Burning Tool on your computer.
- Extract the firmware zip file and locate the .img file.
- Launch Amlogic USB Burning Tool.
- Select the .img file as the firmware.
- Connect the Android box to your computer using the USB cable.
- Restart the Android box in recovery mode:
- Press and hold the “Reset” button on the back of the box.
- Connect the power cord while holding the “Reset” button.
- Release the “Reset” button when the box boots into recovery mode.
- The Amlogic USB Burning Tool will detect the device.
- Click “Start” to begin the flashing process.
- Wait for the process to complete (approximately 5-10 minutes).
Method 2 – Using SD Card Update –
- Download the latest firmware and extract the .img file.
- Copy the .img file to an SD card.
- Insert the SD card into the Android box.
- Go to Settings > About device > System update.
- Select “Local update” and choose the .img file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
Post-Flashing Steps –
- Wait for the Android box to reboot.
- Set up the device as new.
- Install any necessary apps.
Troubleshooting –
- If the device doesn’t boot after flashing, try resetting it.
- If the flashing process fails, ensure the firmware is correct and try again.
MXQ PRO 4K Reset Button –
- Before the MXQ PRO 4K upgrade if your box is blue light blinking, box is connected but no internet, and keep keeps disconnecting from wifi then try to reset using the below trick.
- Find MXQ PRO 4K Reset Button in AV whole. Just put a pin or match stick in AV input port, press and keep press it for 15 seconds to reset your MXQ PRO Android TV box.
