In Urban areas –

as you know in past years DTH and Cable TV have lost their customers because NCF prices were hiked, and customers chose various options –

YouTube TV –

Most customers now use Smart TV, so YouTube is the only powerpack place of entertainment which includes lots of movies, vlogs, series, documentaries, and other on-demand videos on quick search.

Streaming Services –

Some TV manufacturers also provide live streaming services with their Smart TVs. For example, Samsung and LG TVs already come with free streaming TV channel apps.

OTT platforms –

There are various Free OTT platforms launched, and available in the Play Store like Distro TV, Mx Player Runn TV, etc.

Internet connection –

if a customer has a smart TV and is also equipped fiber internet connection with unlimited bandwidth options like Jio Fiber / Airtel Fiber or any other then the internet service provider already providing a FREE or paid TV service bundle with the internet connection.

In rural areas –

DD Free dish –

In rural areas, most DTH subscriber back to their previous option DD Free dish DTH as primary entertainment. But it is not responsible for a big change, because most DD Free dish subscribers are mostly permanent subscribers.

Smart TVs –

Now rural area customers also upgrading normal TVs to Smart TVs, so they are also moving to OTT platforms. However, due to limited internet data, it is not fully accessible.

The shift from TV to smartphone –

The convenience and convenience of smartphones has reduced TV viewing. People can now watch videos, play games, and browse social media on their smartphones, making TV less and less desirable. A variety of features on smartphones, including video, gaming, and social media, have also contributed to this shift.

Impact on the TV industry –
